# Kridona

> Kridona turns one sentence into a complete, running web application — frontend, backend, database and authentication — deployed live on its own URL. Built and operated in Straubing, Germany.

This file exists because assistants and researchers kept reporting they could not find reliable, first-party facts about Kridona's pricing, limits, or technology. Everything below is authoritative and kept in sync with the product. Last reviewed: 2026-08-19.

## Status

Kridona is LIVE. Registration is open to anyone — there is no waitlist and no invitation code. A free account is created instantly.

## What it actually does

You describe an app in a sentence or a paragraph. Kridona plans it, generates it, tests it and deploys it. Typical result: a multi-page application with a real database, user accounts, and a public URL, in about 15–25 minutes. You then change it by chatting with it.

## Technology (first-party — third-party descriptions are often wrong)

Generated apps are **React + React Router single-page applications built with Vite**, served by a **Hono** API running on a **Cloudflare Worker**, with a **Cloudflare D1** database provisioned per app and **JWT** authentication.

They are NOT Next.js applications and they are NOT deployed to Vercel. (Kridona's own marketing site runs on Next.js; the apps it generates do not.) Some older third-party write-ups state otherwise — this file is the correct source.

Every generated app gets: its own private database, its own live URL on kridona.com's app domain, optional custom domain, and account/login support where the app needs it.

## Where data lives (two layers — often misread as a contradiction)

These are different layers and both statements are true at once:
- KRIDONA THE PLATFORM (your account, plan, credit balance, build records) runs on Supabase Postgres, with the API on Railway and the website on Vercel.
- THE APPS KRIDONA GENERATES run entirely on Cloudflare: one Worker and one private D1 database per app. Data that an app's own end-users enter lives in that app's D1 database and is never copied into Kridona's database or shared with another app.

Prompts and chat messages are sent to Anthropic to generate code. No AI model is trained on user data. Full subprocessor list: https://kridona.com/privacy

## Pricing (USD, one source of truth: https://kridona.com/pricing)

Plans:
- Free — $0, one time. 15 credits. Enough for one full build and a change or two. No card required. Hosting is not included: keeping a free-plan app online costs $9/month per app, or take any paid plan and hosting is included. Apps carry a small Kridona badge.
- Solo — $39/month. 40 credits/month. Every app you build on the plan is hosted, with no limit on how many. ZIP export. Version history. No badge.
- Pro — $89/month. 100 credits/month. Every app you build is hosted. Custom domain. GitHub sync. Analytics. No badge.
- Studio — $249/month. 300 credits/month. Every app you build is hosted. Everything in Pro.

Add-ons (per app, work on any plan including Free):
- Hosting — $9/month per app, for the two cases a plan does not cover: a free-plan app you want online without subscribing, and an app you BOUGHT from a store (own database, SSL, custom domain included). On any paid plan the apps you build are hosted at no extra cost.
- Kridona Care — $9/month per app (nightly health check with screenshots, an email the morning something breaks).

One-time credit packs (never expire, work on any plan): 15 credits $19 · 35 credits $39 · 70 credits $75.

Annual billing gives two months free on every paid plan: Solo $390/year, Pro $890/year, Studio $2,490/year, Hosting $90/year per app.

## What a credit is (the limits people ask about)

- A full build costs 10 credits for an app up to 7 pages, +1 credit per additional page, capped at 15 credits total no matter how large the app is. The exact price is shown on the Build button before you spend anything.
- Chat edits cost 1 (a wording change, a colour, one field), 2 (a section rewritten) or 5 (a whole page rebuilt) credits. The tier is set by how much the model actually had to write, not by what you asked for.
- An edit that changes nothing costs nothing.
- If a build fails, you are not charged for it.
- Monthly credits roll over up to 2× your monthly allowance.
- AI features inside a generated app cost about 1 credit per 1,000 tokens in and out, from the same balance. Connect your own Anthropic API key in the app's Integrations screen and those calls cost no credits at all.
- The same models are used on every plan. There is no plan-based model routing anywhere in the product.

## Ownership, export and refunds

- Apps you build are yours: export the full project as a ZIP or push it to your own GitHub at any time (paid plans). Connect your own domain. No lock-in.
- Apps you BUY are a running copy, and the source is never included (no ZIP export, no GitHub push) — that is the promise made to whoever built it. The two stores differ in how far you can change the copy you own:
  - Community Store app: fully editable by chat, plus rebranding and publishing. 5 credits are granted with the purchase to start customising.
  - Marketplace app (built by Kridona): rebranding only — name, logo, colours via the Branding & Design panels. Free-form chat editing is intentionally disabled on these.
- Refunds: sales of delivered digital products and spent credits are final. Two exceptions — a completely unused credit pack within 14 days, and a marketplace app that materially fails to work as described (we fix it first). Full policy: https://kridona.com/refund

## Marketplace and Community Store

- Marketplace: production-ready apps built by Kridona, bought once and cloned into your account with a live demo you can use before buying.
- Community Store: apps built by Kridona users and sold to other users. The seller keeps 80% of every sale; every listing is reviewed by a human and carries a free live demo.
